1: MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

Manuscript must be written in English and adhere to proper grammar and terminology. The recommended font size for manuscript is 12 point Times New Roman. Font, one-column MS Word format on letter-sized paper with 2 point 98 cm of margin on the top and bottom and 1 point 61 cm of margin on the right. The manuscript shouldn't have a line number. For a single submission ID number, a manuscript must be submitted once. A single manuscript that receives multiple submissions may not be taken into consideration. 

1-1: English Language Writing

KUJAS is receiving articles which written in English language ONLY. Authors whose English is not their mother language, should ensure their manuscript is written in academic English before submission. The KUJAS does not provides language and copy-editing services; hence, authors who feel their manuscript may require editing to reduce possible grammatical or spelling mistakes are encouraged to obtain such services before submission. Authors are responsible for all costs associated with such services.

 

1-2: New Submissions

The KUJAS accepts online submission, and the author will receive instructions steps for creating and uploading the manuscript files. Author is permitted to submit the entire manuscript as one file for the refereeing process. This can be a Word document (*.Docx) that referees use to assess the manuscript. In order to reduce the possibility of the manuscript being rejected, all figures and tables should be embedded and included in the main manuscript file in the results section. 

1-3: References

References list must be provided according to the format of the KUJAS references in a consistent style. Where appropriate, it should be formatted as follows,

First author's Surname, first letter (Capital letter) for first author's name., Second author's Surname, first letter (Capital letter) from second author's name., ETC, publication year. Article name (ONLY FIRST LETTER MUST BE CAPITAL LETTER). Journal's full name, volume(issue), article starting page like (p.xxx.) without parentheses.

Please note that don't print your references using Mendeley or Endnote software or any other references citation software; using manual print using MS Word is the only method that is acceptable by KUJAS, else a state of rejection will be chosen. In addition, the DOI is obligatory to be embedded at the end of each reference; if this ID is not available, the reference URL can be used; failure to conduct these minimal requirements for reference format and style will increase the chance of manuscript rejection.

 

1-4: Revised Submissions

The authors are required to submit their Manuscript in KUJAS format in a Word document with the extension * . Docx only at the revision stage, regardless of the file format of the initial submission. Keep the text's layout as straightforward as you can. To avoid unnecessary errors, the authors are strongly advised to use 'spell-check' and 'grammar-check for the submitted manuscript. At this point, the main manuscript file should be updated with the author(s) name, affiliation, emails, and ORCID. 

2: MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

Manuscript must include all those topics: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Article Highlights; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusion; Acknowledgements; and References submitted in a file with limited size.

 

2-1: Manuscript Title

The title should be within 17 words and it avoids containing abbreviations. Also avoid complicated and technical expressions, and does not use unclear expressions. Also the title could be written in Arabic if the manuscript included Arabic abstract.

 

2-2: Abstract

The abstract should be written within 150 to 250 words and it must cover the purpose of the study; basic procedures; main findings, novelty; discussions, and principal conclusions, should not contain any undefined abbreviations or references. Also the abstract could be written in Arabic if the manuscript included Arabic title.

 

2-3: Keywords

Include three to five indexable keywords in your response. Keywords must be written in alphabetical order and separated by a semicolon. Please avoid using abbreviations or repeat the terms in the manuscript title. Whenever they are used, abbreviations should be defined at the outset and followed throughout the text.

 

2-4: Highlights

The manuscript must include highlights. A highlight is a succinct sentence that succinctly and briefly communicates the main conclusions of your study. A highlighted item will typically be between three and five points in length.

 

2-5: Introduction

Clearly state the study's objective and provide a brief description of the investigation's background. 

 

2-6: Materials and Methods

Give enough information so that the experiments can be structured. References should be used to support the techniques and methods used. This section and the rest of the manuscript should only use metric and standard international units. Define the statistical terms, abbreviations, and symbols used, as well as the computer software that was used.

 

2-7: Results

Present the results and their significance. Graphs and tables should be self-explanatory. Do not repeat in figures the data presented in tables. Tables and figures should be numbered in the order of their mention in the text.

 

2-8: Discussion

Relevant updated references support deals with critical review and interpretations of the results. The study outcomes must be explained clearly and supported with undated findings (reference) repetition of data should be avoided. It should end with brief conclusions. In Short Communications, Results and Discussion may be combined.

 

2-9: Conclusion

This section should highlight the major firm discoveries and state the added value of the main finding without literature references.

 

2-10: Acknowledgements

Acknowledgments for people, grants, funds, etc., should be placed in a separate section before the reference list. The names of funding organizations should be written in full. Financial support affiliation of the study, if it exists, must be mentioned in this section. Thereby, the Grant number of financial support must be included.

 

2-11: Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest statement must be placed in the manuscript below: "The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest regarding the publication and/or funding of this manuscript."

 

2-12: References

Literature references should be according to the global referencing styles which listed on the website of KUJAS.

 

3: EXAMPLE of REFERENCES

4: TABLES

Uploading table as a photo is not acceptable. Tables should be positioned within the text and have a logical and clear structure, as well as a sequential numerical order. Each table should have a number (1, 2, 3, etc.). Subtitles should contain sufficient details to let the reader understand each table without needing to refer to the text. Please include a table caption (title) explaining the table's elements for each table. Mention the source at the end of the table caption to show any content that has already been published.

 

5: FIGURES 

Figure/illustration should be in high-quality artwork, within 200-300 dpi. Ensure that figure is clear, labeled, and of a size that can be reproduced legibly in the journal. Figure should be set within the text. The following remarks should be applied to the figures:

1- Each figure should have a concise caption describing accurately what the figure depicts. Include the captions in the text of the manuscript.

2- Figure captions begin with the term Figures. Figures should be with captions placed below the figure.

3- No punctuation is to be placed at the end of the caption. 

4- Identify all elements found in the figure in the figure caption, and use boxes, circles, etc., as coordinate points in graphs.

5- Identify previously published material by giving the source as a reference citation at the end of the figure caption.

 

6: FINAL CHECKLIST SUBMISSION

  1. Read Author's Guide from Journal's website, make sure that the manuscript (text, tables, and figures) meets Journal's requirements.
  2. The manuscript contains the main units which mentioned on Journal's Guide for Authors.
  3. Spell-check the Manuscript.
  4. All authors must read the Ethics in publishing, Plagiarism prevention, Violation of publication ethics, and Handling misconduct cases before being submitted to the KUJAS.
  5. The manuscript has been read and approved by all listed authors.
  6. The Corresponding Author and the whole contributors of the manuscript are advised to be registered at the journal website to keep their names in the manuscript bio-sketches.
