Abstract
Two successive field experiments were conducted during the spring seasons of 2024 and 2025 at Dinaran village, located in Bardarash district, Duhok Governate, Kurdistan Region-Iraq. The objective was to inspect the growth and quantity yield response of two potato cultivars namely, (Harry and Lucinda) to foliar spraying with three concentrations of nano NPK fertilizer (0, 2 and 4g.L-1) and three concentrations of amino acid (0,3 and 6ml.L-1) in Bardarsh district due to it is considered as a famous region for potato production. The experimental treatments were organized within a split-split plot design following a randomized complete block design (R.C.B.D) with three replicates. The statistical analysis revealed that the Harry cultivar exhibited the highest significant values across most growth and yield parameters in both spring growing seasons, including leaf area (cm2), dry matter of growth (g plant-1), number of marketable tubers (tuber plant-1), marketable tuber weight (g tuber-1), marketable plant yield (kg plant-1) and overall marketable tuber yield (t ha-1). Conversely, the Lucinda cultivar showed a significant advantage in plant height (cm). The treatment with a concentration of 4g.L-1 of nano NPK fertilizer resulted in the most significant improvements across most of the studied catachrestic. Application of amino acids at both dosage 3 and 6ml.L-1 led to significant increase in all parameters compared to the control treatments in both seasons. Furthermore, the combination of treatments involving both nano NPK fertilizer and amino acids, as well as the interaction among cultivars, yielded the heights values for the studied parameters of potato plants.
