Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy

The Kirkuk University Journal for Agricultural Sciences (KUJAS) supports transparency, reproducibility, and integrity in scientific research.

Data Availability

 

Policy Statement

Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying their research publicly available whenever possible.

All submitted manuscripts must include a Data Availability Statement indicating one of the following:

  • The data are publicly available in a repository (provide full link and identifier)
  • The data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request
  • The data are not publicly available due to ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions
 

Recommended Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in recognized repositories such as:

  • Institutional repositories
  • Subject-specific repositories
  • General repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad)

Data Citation

 

Citation Requirements

When datasets are used, authors should properly cite them in the reference list, including:

Required Element Author(s)
  Title of dataset
  Repository name
  DOI or persistent link

Reproducibility

 

Methodological Transparency

Authors must provide sufficient detail in their methodology to allow replication of the study.

Where applicable, authors should include:

  • Experimental protocols
  • Software and code
  • Statistical methods
 

Ethical and Legal Considerations

Data sharing must comply with:

  • Ethical standards
  • Privacy regulations
  • Institutional policies

Sensitive data (e.g., personal or confidential data) must not be shared without proper authorization.

Editorial Responsibility

 

Verification During Review

Editors and reviewers may request access to underlying data during the review process to verify the validity of the research.

Failure to provide data when requested may result in rejection of the manuscript.

After Publication

The journal may request data after publication if concerns arise regarding the validity of the results.

Failure to provide supporting data may lead to corrective actions, including retraction.
