Overview

General Policy

This policy describes how authors of the Kirkuk University Journal for Agricultural Sciences (KUJAS) may archive and share copies of their work on personal webpages, institutional/corporate webpages, and subject repositories.

KUJAS is an open-access journal. Articles may be made available immediately according to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.

Preferred Version to Share

Where possible, KUJAS encourages authors to share the Version of Record (the final published article) rather than the Accepted Manuscript.

Preferably, authors should link to the published article using the DOI shown in the article citation information.

Where Authors May Archive

Permitted Locations

  • Personal website or personal academic webpage
  • Institutional or corporate website
  • Institutional repository
  • Subject repository or archive

Social Media & Academic Networks

Authors may reuse the article abstract and citation information (e.g., title, author names, publication dates) anywhere, including social media and academic platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs, and X/Twitter), provided that a link is included back to the article on the KUJAS website where possible.

Preferably, the link should be the DOI link.

Permitted Versions & Timing

Version of Record (Recommended)

  • Share the final published article by linking to the KUJAS page (preferably via DOI).
  • Where the license permits, authors may also deposit the Version of Record in repositories.

Accepted Manuscript

The author may place the accepted version (Accepted Manuscript) on the author’s website, institutional repository, or other archives.

No embargo period applies for self-archiving of the submitted version.

Recommended Link Wording (Copy/Paste)

Please cite and link to the published Version of Record on the KUJAS website. Where possible, use the DOI link provided in the article citation.
