Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy

KUJAS is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

Policy Statement

The Kirkuk University Journal for Agricultural Sciences (KUJAS) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When necessary, the journal may publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards.

Corrections

Corrections may be issued when an error is identified in a published article that does not invalidate the main findings but requires clarification or amendment.

Retractions

A retraction may be issued when there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct, major error, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, or other serious violations of publication ethics.

Expressions of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when serious concerns are raised about a published article, but the investigation is incomplete or inconclusive.

Notices and Transparency

  • All correction, retraction, or expression of concern notices will be linked to the original article.
  • Each notice will clearly state the reason for the correction, retraction, or expression of concern.
  • The notice will be made available as part of the journal record to preserve transparency.

Article Record

KUJAS does not remove published articles from the website except in exceptional legal or safety circumstances.

Important: The purpose of this policy is to correct the scholarly record transparently, not to hide or silently replace published content.
