Abstract
This study was conducted at Grdarasha Field/College of Agriculture/ University of Salahaddin, Erbil during growing season (2009). The objective of the study was to investigate the effect of foliar application of Leaf fertilizer (Seaweed extraction phytophtar) on the yield components Characteristics of Strawberry (Fragaria X ananassa Duch.) In order to evaluate the effect of three concentration (0, 1, 2, 3) ml/L seaweed extraction (Phytophtar) on two Varieties cv. Kaiser's samling and Regina. The major results are as following, the concentrations (2, 3)ml/L was superior significantly on the control in the average of leaf area, dry weight matter for foliage and root, 136.62cm2, 41.59g, 13.07g the content of total chlorophyll, superior cv. Kaiser's samling on the Regina 15.33mg/gm fresh weight. The highest significantly interaction between Regina cultivar and 3ml/L in the average of leaf area, dry weight matter for foliage and root, and also the interaction of with cv. Kaiser's samling with 3ml/L in the content of total chlorophyll. And concentration 3ml/L of spraying with Leaf fertilizer gave significant result in the fruit set percentage, fruit weight, fruit number, and product in plant, cv. Kaiser's samling gave significant result in all the Characteristics only fruit weight with cv. Regina. The interaction between cultivars and Leaf fertilizer gave significant result in the fruit set, fruit number, and fruit product in plant, 91.66%, 14.32, 167.66gm/plant in 3ml/L with cv. Kaiser's samling .But cv Regina gave significant result 2ml/L , fruit weigh 12.30gm, concentration 3ml/L of spraying with Leaf fertilizer gave significant result in the TSS ,AC ,fruit dry weight. CV Regina gave significant result in the Ac%, fruit dry weight. And the interaction between cultivars and Leaf fertilizer gave significant result in the TSS, AC, and fruit dry weight.
