Abstract
This experiment was conducted in the Krdarash field of poultry attached to the Department of Animal Resources / College of Agriculture - University of Salahuddin. Aimed to study the effect of soaking wheat in water (T4) , the germination of wheat (T3) and enzyme adding (T2) on production efficiency and viscosity of the content of the small intestine of broiler chick. In this experiment a 240 one day-old male hybrid of Ross chicks were used. Chicks were distributed randomly into four treatments each containing three replicates in each replicate 20 chicks. Four same rations were feed which contain 55% wheat for each treatment. The control treatment (T1) was Selected. In the second treatment (T2) the enzyme Xylanases was added. In the third treatment (T3) the germination process was applied on the wheat. In the fourth treatment (T4) was soaking wheat in water. The results showed that the addition of Xylanases enzyme to the ration, a process of soaking and germination of wheat was used in the composition of the diet caused a significant increase (P<0.05) in body weight and weekly weight gain and feed conversion ratio. There were no significant differences in feed intake and accumulated feed consumption. The results also showed higher in the dressing percentage and lower of the viscosity of the gut content It can be concluded from the study that the germination of wheat, soaking and the addition of enzyme led to an improvement in productive performance and reduce the viscosity of the gut content of broiler chicks.
