Abstract
This study was conducted in the fields of Agriculture and Forestry collage-Unevirsity of Mosul in November 2011 to investigate the effect of three types of sprinklers (Russian , Turkish , Italian), arrangement of sprinkler (Square , Rectangular , Triangle) and sprinkler riser heights (60 and 150 cm) and the interaction effect of three previous factors on the coefficient of water distribution uniformity (CU) and distribution uniformity (DU). The rando- mized block design RCBD and Duncan`s multiple range test for comparison between the means were used . Results showed that there were significant differences among the three factors, the Italian sprinkler gave the highest coefficient of water distribution uniformity and distribution uniformity (75.77%) (61.70%) respectively, The square arrangement gave the highest coefficient and distrib- ution uniformity (75.18%) (61.73%) respectively , The height 150 cm gave the highest coefficient and distribution uniformity (71.50%) (55.73%) respec tively, the interaction among the Italian sprinkler head and the height 150 cm gave the highest coefficient and distribution uniformity (78.35%) (67.76%) respectively, the interaction among the rectangular arrangement of sprinkler and the height 150 cm gave the highest coefficient and distribution uniformity (77.23%) (65.33%) respectively, the interaction among the Italian sprinkler head and the triangle arrangement of sprinkler gave the highest coefficient and distribution uniformity (85.55%) (74.50%) respectively, the interaction among the three factors (italian sprinkler, square arrangement and height 150 cm) gave the highest coefficient and distribution uniformity which were (85.06%) (78.20%) respectively.
